Refund and cancellation

Scope

This policy applies to paid field studies and briefings offered by Ridgefield Consumer Lens Co., Ltd., including Neighborhood Shopper Walkthroughs, Morning Rush Observations, Shelf and Checkout Reviews, and Owner Briefing Sessions. It does not cover goods, subscriptions, or deliveries we do not offer.

Deposits

Engagements typically require a deposit stated in your written estimate to reserve observation dates. The deposit is applied to the final fee.

Cancellation by you

• More than 7 days before the first scheduled field day: full refund of amounts paid, minus any non-recoverable travel costs already incurred with your approval.
• 3 to 7 days before the first field day: 50% of the deposit may be retained; remaining prepaid fees are refunded.
• Fewer than 3 days before the first field day, or after observation has begun: prepaid fees for days already worked are non-refundable; unused future days may receive a partial refund at our discretion.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule once without charge if you give at least 5 days’ notice and alternative dates fall within 30 days. Additional reschedules may incur a scheduling fee stated in writing.

No-shows

If the store is closed or inaccessible at the agreed time without prior notice, that day counts as delivered for fee purposes.

Work already started

Once field notes have been taken or a briefing session has begun, fees covering completed portions are non-refundable. Materials purchased specifically for your engagement with prior approval are non-refundable.

Cancellation by us

If we must cancel for reasons within our control, you may choose a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work or new dates at no extra scheduling fee.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within 14 business days of written approval. Bank processing times may add several days.
